WHY THIS ONE IS DIFFERENT
Cloud credits pay for servers. A voice agent is not a server.
Most startup credit programs cover compute and leave the voice stack to you: a transcription bill, an LLM bill, a text-to-speech bill, a telephony bill, and a platform fee on top. On PyAI the agent is one model and one meter, so one credit covers the whole conversation. And because a voice agent that cannot make a phone call is a demo, every tier ships with real phone minutes.

How much credit do startups get from PyAI?
Three tiers: Launch is $20,000, Growth is $50,000, and Scale is $100,000 in PyAI credit. Every tier also includes a fixed managed phone-minute allowance (25k, 50k, or 100k minutes) so the first call rings without a top-up. The program pool is $10 million.
What does the credit cover?
Every AI meter on the PyAI rate card: Omni realtime agents, Agents, Hear, Speak, Clone, Cast, Trace, Recap, KB Context, and AMD. Phone minutes beyond your allowance, phone numbers, SMS, and taxes bill to paid credit at the listed rates.
How are the credits released?
In twelve monthly parts over a one-year term. The first part and the phone allowance land the moment the award activates. Unused credit rolls forward inside the term; whatever is left at twelve months expires.
Do I need a credit card?
No. You apply, you get accepted, you sign up with the same email, and the credits attach. Add a payment method before you have used 75% of the award and you keep 20% back on spend for the following twelve months.
Who decides, and how long does it take?
A person on the PyAI team reads every application and replies within five business days (two if you came through a partner VC or accelerator). We look for a real voice product, a working website, and a team we can find. A demo, video, or deck speeds the decision.
Can I apply before the product exists?
Yes. Idea-stage teams are usually placed in Launch or asked for a prototype first. The sandbox key never bills, so you can make a phone ring today and apply again with something to show.
Are the credits transferable or refundable?
No. Credits are non-transferable, have no cash value, are tied to one organization, and cannot be resold or shared across companies. Misuse (reselling minutes, sharing keys between companies) forfeits the award.
Is there a badge or a launch post?
Both, and both are optional. Selected companies can use the PyAI for Startups member badge and a press line, and we feature launches from the cohort. The credit never depends on displaying the badge.
